Podcast king Joe Rogan met the royalty of rock by chance when he met Axl Rose at a restaurant in Greece. A selfie in which the Guns N’ Roses legend looks rather unflattering to meet the comedian resulted in a bunch of amusing comments on Instagram.
Rogan posted the photo along with an onstage video of Guns N’ Roses’ concert Saturday night (July 22) in Athens, he writes. “I was in Greece on vacation and randomly ran into Axl Rose at a restaurant. He invited us to see @Gunsnroses in Athens, and it was amazing. They went hard for 3 hours in the sweltering heat and the crowd was amazing. If you get a chance to see them near you I can’t recommend it enough.”
Judging by the photo, Rogan was more excited about meeting Axl than the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer was about meeting the podcaster. Rogan smiles brightly while Axel looks serious like a heart attack. That said, Rose apparently gifted Rogan with backstage tickets and passes to the GN’R concert, so the get-together may have been more amicable than the photo would suggest.

However, fans had fun in the comments section, writing one, “Joe looks like a super excited fan to meet a rock star. Axl looks like Joe just called him out for getting some wrong facts about the old spartan diet and grits [sic] feed.”
“He looks so happy you interrupted his dinner,” said another, while another commented, “When your mom forces you to take a picture with her to send to her book club friends.”
Recently, Dirty Honey singer Mark Labelle said Serious consequences on his chance meeting with singer GN’R, praising the rock legend. “He was very nice, very good spirits, and was totally 180 of all the things you hear about Axl,” Labelle recalls in the video below.
