San Diego Comic-Con isn’t much of a studio draw this year, with all the incredible shrinkage and generality of superhero movies. So while the convention is still underway in California, Marvel went the old internet route for their big news this week, sharing a new trailer for Marvels.
This latest look is by director Nia DaCosta Captain Marvel A sequel is not offered also A lot is in the way of the new footage, but it does shed some light on the film’s antagonist, Dar Ben Zawi Ashton. Chris General is exacting revenge on Carol “Captain Marvel” Danvers (Brie Larson), and her plan includes a certain bracelet. Ms. Marvel Fans may recognize. It appears the Bangle twins have activated light matter powers in Kamala Khan (Iman Villani), and Dar Ben is using them to “entangle” the Marvels’ powers. Anytime Danvers, Khan, or Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris of See Wanda) use their light-based abilities, they switch places.
With Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), he’s a lot more fun than he looks Secret invasion) and an army of Flerkens at their side, the trio team up to untangle themselves and Dar-Benn’s plans to destroy their homeworlds. Check out the trailer below, followed by a new poster for the movie.
