Howard Stern goes “back to my roots” with a surprise Saturday Night Radio rendition

by admin

Howard Stern signed on to air Saturday night for an impromptu radio broadcast that doubled as a listening party for the music.

Stern is currently taking a summer break from his SiriusXM radio show. However, while hosting a celebrity-packed meetup on Saturday, the King of All Media made the unprecedented decision to go live. “I’m trying something new, and I’m breaking into my own channel,” Stern explained. “I would sit around and play music, and I thought I would go back to my roots and be a DJ. I have a group of people more.”

The hour-long broadcast saw Stern’s various celebrity friends — including Drew Barrymore, Robert Downey Jr., Jon Bon Jovi, Brooke Shields, Jimmy Fallon, and Mary McCormack — each take a turn choosing a song to play.

Barrymore kicked things off with Electric Light Orchestra’s “Don’t Bring Me On”. Downey Jr. spin Phil Collins’ “Inside Out,” and Jimmy Fallon chose to play Rage Against the Machine’s Killing in the Name “Killing in the Name.” For his selection, Stern chose “She Sells Sanctuary” for the cult. Between records, Stern chatted with his guests—a few of whom probably drank a lot.
