Joe Jonas has revealed that he was put into a tough spot while performing on stage in 2019 after realizing that what he thought was a “miniature trumpet” had actually turned out to be a pipe on his pants.
“I was with a few friends yesterday, and we were just talking, you know, there comes a point in your life where you, as an adult, can remember the last time you were dressed,” the 33-year-old Jonas Fraternity member said during an appearance on KIIS FM Will & Woody for Drive Home. “This was about four years ago, it’s new but I managed to handle it — a lot of therapy. Let’s just say, it was a bad day choosing to wear white.”
Going into detail, Jonas explained that the incident took him completely by surprise. He added, “You think maybe it was a little trumpet, maybe it was something a little bit more — something a little extra”. So it was kind of like a crap mid-wardrobe change during the set. If you look through the archives, there’s a mid-show wardrobe change, and it was probably a little like, ‘Oh, that was an interesting option to change clothes so quickly.'”

Before finishing the story, the middle Jonas Brother made sure to point out that the shit on his pants was “light, it wasn’t flattering. It managed to tell the tale.” However, in the heat of the moment, he had some anxiety that “someone will be able to see through this and find out what’s going on.”
Now, Jonas believes that “it wasn’t as big of a deal” as he thought at the time and joked about it being a rite of passage: “It’s happened to a lot of artists. I feel like I paid my dues, and I feel like I’m part of a secret club now.”
The Jonas Brothers have released their latest LP, album, last May. Earlier this month, they collaborated with TOMORROW X TOGETHER on “Do It Like That.” Joe was caught trying to avoid a repeat of the incident during the band’s ongoing “Five Albums a Night” tour of the US. Tickets are available here.
