Lamb of God kicked off its summer tour itinerary in style, with Randy Blythe sporting a new look. The metal frontman chopped off his long tresses, showing off a fresh buzz cut on Wednesday night (July 12) for the band at the D’été De Québec Festival in Quebec City, Canada.
The heavy metal veteran’s summer premiere featured a 15-song setlist featuring mixes of songs from eight albums, including two of his most recent LPs: 2022. omen and a self-titled 2020 effort. The ceremony concluded with two wake ashes Classics: “Laid to Rest” and “Redneck”.
As Blabbermouth points out, Blythe once told Ketagalan Media that his braids formed when he “just stopped combing” his hair around 2014. He was once asked before metal hammer How much money would he have to pay to shave off his fear?” He replied, “I don’t do stupid things for money. The difference between me and people who do stupid things for money is that I have enough money, but even when I don’t, I won’t do anything I don’t.” I want to do it for the money.”

Blythe will be performing his clean cut as Lamb of God supporting Pantera on a North American tour, as well as playing their own shows during casual dates. Tickets are available here.
