From November 25, 1931 to July 8, 2023.
During the 10 years I lost you to dementia, we talked about the happy and sad times, holding hands, kissing you and telling you how much I loved you. We stopped hearing that sound we all loved for four years, but the memories will stay with us forever. Then, on June 8th, you lost your son to cancer. I never told you this, but I know you know it, and you don’t see that smile, that laugh, and that love that he gave. Now, July 8th, the gates of heaven have opened and Brent, Barry and Abby are waiting to welcome. I know the smiles, hugs, and love would have been amazing. Haviland Bay will always be special to all of us. It’s where we grew up and you and Dad worked so hard to build the McCauley Hotel and then add the restaurant. Lots of good times, good times with family and friends who loved you. I miss you forever.

Jane’s family would like to thank the nurses at FJ Davey Home and the PSW staff at Birch Lane 3 for the love and kindness they have always shown our mother. We met amazing people in all departments. We are and always will be so very grateful for the last 9 years that she lived there and for always being a friend when you needed her. Special thanks to Rivers Edge Burn Centre.
At the request of the jeans, there would be no services and the bodies were cremated. She will be buried at Gully River Cemetery, where she will be buried with her husband at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Arthur’s Funeral Home – Barton & Keightley Church (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions paid online or by check that can be made to ARCH, the Canadian ALS Society, or the FJ Davey Home Fund for Home Activities would be greatly appreciated. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy www.arthurfuneralhome.com can be shared with the McCauley family.
