A car has crashed into a primary school in southwest London, injuring nine people, according to the city’s Metropolitan Police, who described it as a “serious collision”.

Seven children and two adults were injured in the Wimbledon plane crash, officers said, adding that they were awaiting further updates on their status.

Authorities have ruled out terrorism as a motive, but are investigating further. The spokeswoman added that the driver stopped at the scene of the accident, and no one has been arrested so far.

Police were called at 9.54am to a report of a vehicle crash into a building at Camp Road Primary School, the force said in a statement. The school is a paid school for girls for students from 4 to 11 years old.

The prestigious Wimbledon tennis tournament kicked off in the neighborhood on Monday.

“Officers remained on the scene along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance,” Mitt said.
