Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was recently expelled from the House Freedom Caucus after a series of disagreements with the conservative group, according to two Republican lawmakers familiar with the situation.

“She no longer works with HFC,” a Republican lawmaker told The Daily Beast, suggesting it was wrong to “bashing” her colleagues.

“I think there was an understatement,” the Republican added.

The euphemism refers to Greene’s recent fight with a senior member of the Freedom Caucus, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), which culminated last month when Greene called Boebert a “little bitch” on the front of the house floor. The Daily Beast.

Green, who has distanced himself from the far right of the Republican Party since joining Congress in 2021, is no longer familiar with the group’s internal meetings or its strategy for the future.

In recent months, I’ve become a key ally of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), helping not only secure his spokesperson, but also advance the debt-ceiling deal hated by HFC preservatives.

A Green Party spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
