Tom Cruise may have just turned 61, but he has no plans to stop Mission Impossible Movies anytime soon. In an interview with Sydney Morning HeraldThe actor said he wanted to match 80-year-old Harrison Ford, who recently filmed the fifth installment of the series. Indiana Jones.
“Harrison Ford is a legend. I hope I keep going. I have 20 years to catch up,” Cruz said. “I hope I keep making it Mission Impossible Movies up to a year.
Just like Ford – who had a shoulder injury on set Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny – Cruise is still doing his death-defying stunts as IMF agent Ethan Hunt. That includes a crazy jump off Big Ass Mountain into the future Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1which marks the seventh installment in the franchise.

In the past, Cruz broke his ankle while jumping from one building to another while filming 2018 Mission: Impossible – FalloutBut that obviously didn’t stop him from running full speed forward.
It should be noted that Ford himself said that he has no plans to retire from Hollywood after hanging his hat as Indiana Jones. “I don’t do a good job when I don’t have a job,” he explained. “I love working. I love feeling useful. It’s my family.”
