Noel Gallagher takes credit for a certain major breakup in the music world, and no, it’s not Oasis. The High Flying Birds frontman continued his “mard” with Matty Healy by implying he was responsible for Taylor Swift’s rumored breakup in 1975.
Gallagher said in a wide-ranging new interview with Rolling Stone. And he couldn’t help it. God bless her, Swifty said, “I can’t handle that shit because once it’s over with you, it’s coming after me and I’m not going to fuck it up.” So, I’m sorry, Matty, you have to go. “…serve him properly!”
The aforementioned “Gallagher business” began in February, when Hailey stated in a radio interview her desire for Oasis to “grow up” and “get back together” — belligerent words, considering the Gallagher brothers’ insistence on no Reunion. Then in May, Noel did as Gallagher did and called Hailey a “damn fuckin’ fuckin’ who “needs to review how ridiculous his band is and the split”. But maybe that was actually one of the nice things people said about Healy that week, since that was just days before the Ice Spice PR debacle came to a head.

Sure, Gallagher was probably joking about causing Swift and Healy’s romantic falling out, but then again, you can never be too sure about these guys. Probably has not been tea open letter Swifties wrote encouraged the singer to get off Healy’s ass for some of the incendiary comments he made about Ice Spice. Probably has not been Swift’s fast-paced, carefully orchestrated “Karma” remix was released with the rapper. Maybe – maybe – it was Noel’s “Potato Gallagher” fault after all.
Aside from talking nonsense and not reuniting Oasis, Gallagher also recently did a very nice cover of Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart.
