The actress revealed that Shannen Doherty’s breast cancer has spread to her brain.
“On January 5th, my CT scan of Mets showed up in my brain,” the actor wrote on Instagram, referring to a metastasis. “January 12th, First Round of Radiation Happened”. Posting videos of herself wearing the necessary mask to receive the radiation, Doherty explained, “My fear is palpable. I’m very claustrophobic and there’s been a lot going on in my life. I’m lucky to have great doctors like Dr. Amin Moradi and the amazing technologies at Cedars-Sinai” .
And she continued: “But this fear …”. “The disorder…..the timing of everything….this is what cancer can look like.”
Doherty, 52, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She underwent chemotherapy, radiation and had a mastectomy before announcing she was in remission in 2017, but revealed in 2020 that the cancer had returned and was in stage four.
