PJ Harvey Reveals Weird New Song “I’m Inside The Old I’m Dying”: Stream

PJ Harvey is back with “I Inside the Old I Dying,” a second look at her upcoming album I’m inside dying year old. Check out the new song below.

Harvey’s latest offering seems particularly ghostly, reminiscent of the atmospheric sounds of 1998 Is this desire? The artist exclaims: “The dead brakes host the bloody beads of the sacred / It is a crown of thorns and it will rise again.” despite of I’m inside dying year old Recorded live, Harvey’s voice sounds miles away from the song’s gentle guitar riff.

Harvey continued, “In the lyric, everyone is awaiting the savior’s reappearance—everyone and everything is anticipating the arrival of this figure of love and transformation. There is a sense of sexual longing, of waking up, of moving from one realm to another—from child to adult, from life to death and to eternity.”

I’m inside dying year old Arrives July 7th in full via Party Records. Produced by her longtime collaborators John Parish and Flood, it marks Harvey’s tenth studio album overall and follows 2016’s Sixth Hope Demolition Project. Previously, she shared the song “Ask a Kid, August.”
