Eleven days after an exceptional edition, the jury of the 76th Cannes Film Festival, headed by Swedish director Robin Ostlund, handed over its list of awards by crowning a woman for the third time in the history of the festival, French director Justine Tritt.
Justin Tritt crowned Dizzy Fall AnatomyHis fourth feature film. The Frenchwoman is the third woman to reach the Cannes sky, after the Australian Jane Campion (Piano Lesson, 1993) and only two years after her compatriot Julia Ducorno (Titanium, 2021). ” I wanted to make a movie about losing a married couple. The idea was to tell the story of a falling body, in an artistic way, to make it a picture of a falling couple, of a love story. She explained her fourth feature film, co-written with companion Arthur Harari and which follows the trial of a German writer (set up by Sandra Hüller) accused of the felonies of murdering her husband, in their chalet in the French Alps. The 44-year-old filmmaker’s intense commitment was also expressed. In this film that stirs up the imbalances of justice in France by declaring them as political as they are malicious on the stage of the awards ceremony.
The movie will hit theaters August 23 and is produced by Marie-Ange Luciani and David Theon.
