Clark released his tenth studio album, which was produced by Thom Yorke sous dog, via Throttle Records, and shared a music video for the song “Medicine” featuring vocals from Yorke. Watch the music video for the single below.

sous dog Executive produced by Yorke, it features Clark going in a new direction. His first album to be “completely focused on his sound,” the 43-year-old electronic musician’s recording looks in a more intimate and uplifting setting than his previous work.

The single “Medicine” demonstrates this—underneath a slow, staccato beat and a bed of retro synths, Clarke’s smooth, airy voice reverberates with intimacy. In a press release, he described the song as being about “a perfect day in nature with my wife, but also anchors, afraid of time, humans as animals, addiction, the inner judge, and how you’re always the narcissist of others, right?”

Yorke sings on “Medicine” as well (and plays bass), presenting a quintessential Yorke-esque performance over an increasingly intense harmonic stance. At the end of his ballad, as he talks about “the medicine that floods your veins,” the arrangement opens to a flurry of strings, the flapping of drum pads like the launch of braces.
