Dua Lipa shares “Dance the Night” from Barbie Soundtrack: Stream

Dua Lipa shares “Dance the Night,” her new single off the Greta Gerwig soundtrack Barbie. Give it a listen below.

As you might expect, “Dance the Night” is a sparkling disco number. “I stay on the beat, you can count on me / I never miss a step,” the artist sings, while classical strings soar and funky bass. The track plays right away as an instrumental from the newly released movie trailer, so you know it’s going to play a huge role in the summer blockbuster. Even her music video fits in Barbie Land, with Lipa dancing on top of feathery heels, and Gerwig herself making a cameo at the end.

Dua Lipa joins the likes of Lizzo, HAIM, Charli XCX and Tame Impala in performing on Barbie The soundtrack, which will drop on July 21, the same day the movie premieres. Gosling will also sing a project-appropriate song called “I’m Just Kane,” but sadly, it’s likely not a Dead Man’s Bones reunion.

Recently, Lipa turned heads in a Chanel dress during the Karl Lagerfeld-themed Met Gala. She also co-wrote the song “Borderline” with Tove Lo, which was released earlier this year.
