Securing tickets to see Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” was a notoriously deceptive process, but one fan came up with an innovative strategy to make sure he’d get to see the show: He applied to work as a security guard at his local gig.
Nashville-based Davis Perego works as a daily bookkeeper, but after failing to get Taylor Swift tickets, he applies to join the security team at the local Nissan Stadium. When he got the job, he had a better view of the star than almost any bench money could buy. “Friday night I was next to the podium, and then Saturday night, I almost had a better view,” he told Channel 5 local news.
Perrigo’s enthusiasm soon caught the attention of other Swifties, who posted videos of him singing along with every word — a marked difference from the gruff expressions security guards usually make on the job. Even the popstar team has noticed.

“I was actually reprimanded by Taylor’s security, saying I was doing too hard and that I needed to shake it off a bit,” Perego said.
Of course, this health security guard’s tale came just days before a crew member faced Swift’s wrath — this time, because he seemed to be too focused on the job and berated a fan, Swift insisted he didn’t do anything.
The Eras Tour continues through the summer with upcoming stops in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Chicago, Detroit and more. You can find last minute tickets here.
