Deftones’ self-titled fourth studio album turns 20 on Friday (May 20). To mark the occasion, the alternative metal band is releasing a limited edition, semi-transparent ruby red vinyl from the LP, along with other merchandise.
The 2003 album was the follow-up to 2000’s, which was certified platinum white ponywhich was celebrated with a similar 20th anniversary capsule in 2020. Although it wasn’t quite as successful as white ponyThe album of the same name reached gold status on the strength of hit singles like “Minerva” and “Hexagram”.
Along with the vinyl, the self-titled 20th Anniversary set includes a CD, T-shirts, hoodies, a beer kit, incense pack, mug, and more. All items, including vinyl, can be ordered or pre-ordered via the band’s webshop.

The band’s other scheduled performances for the year so far are at this weekend’s Welcome to Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida, and the Sonic Temple Festival the following weekend in Columbus, Ohio. Deftones plays the Sunday bill at each of those festivals, with tickets available here.
