X is fast The penultimate entry may not be in fast and angry Franchising after all. During a red carpet interview at the film’s world premiere in Rome, Vin Diesel appeared to confirm that Universal Pictures is considering a twelfth film.
When the face of the franchise was asked about its future, Diesel initially said he wanted to avoid “turning the hat too much” before teasing the three-act finale. “Going into this movie, the studio asked if this could be a two-parter,” said Diesel. And after the studio saw that first sequel, they said, ‘Can you make it X is fast, the epilogue, trilogy? “
“It’s three acts in any story,” added star Michelle Rodriguez. Host Nas Perez followed up by asking if they were “now confirming we’re going to get a third movie,” but the cast rushed away after Diesel quipped, “You’re going to get me in trouble here.”
