The Primus frontman also talks about the new line-up that includes Sean Ono Lennon as part of the band, as well as why he brought in the animals Returning to the stage for the first time in 20 years. He also touches on the possibility of a Tool album cover, and most recently, a band made up of Tool members appeared for a charity event.
“I was like a frontman without a bass, which was very strange,” Claypool explains. “I’m not really good at just standing there and getting Jim Morrison on set, but I actually enjoyed this. I enjoyed not having to wiggle my fingers.”
Claypool also discusses Primus 2022 conspirator EP, another Frog Brigade LP, finishing Claypool Lennon’s next Delirium album, and working more with Billy Strings.
