After a month off from Sunday Lunch, Robert Fripp and Toya Wilcox are back with a staging of Joan Jett’s classic Bad Reputation.
Guitarist King Crimson and his singer wife play the song’s theme, as Robert takes on the role of the bad guy and Toyah sticks sticky notes with the word “bad” on his forehead. Along with her usual revealing outfits, Toyah sports a new hairstyle that harkens back to her days as a new wave singer in the late ’70s and early ’80s.
The pair have been posting archive videos over the past few weeks, and their previous “Sunday Lunch” performance was a cover of the J. Geils Band’s “Centerfold” in late March.

Other Sunday Brunch offerings include covers of The Motley Crue’s “Screaming at the Devil”, KISS’s “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” and The Offspring’s “The Kids Ain’t Alright”. To date, the most popular video remains Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”, which has over 8 million views.
As promised, Toyah and Robert are taking their “Sunday Lunch” on the road this year, booking a month-long autumn tour of the UK. Meanwhile, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts will be supporting Bryan Adams on a US tour this summer, with tickets available here.
