Victor Wimpanyama, born in 2004 in Chesnay, French basketball player. His sister, Eve, is also a basketball player. Highly athletic, the young boy during his youth practiced various disciplines, including soccer and judo. Then he learned basketball with the Chesnay club, and then, at the age of 10, he joined Nanterre 92. A year later, he was already 1.91 meters tall and won the Bourbourg Mini-Basketball World Championship with the U11 team. In 2019 Victor Wimbanyama, now 2.21m tall, made his professional debut for Nanterre. During the following season, he played with the Federal Center and was elected the best hope of the French championship. Coach Vincent Collet called him to participate in the 2022 European Basketball Championship and then participate in the 2023 World Cup qualifiers. He will undoubtedly be No. 1 in the NBA draft (selection) in the summer of 2023.
