Saba has been flirting with a collaborative project with legendary producer and fellow Chicago native No ID since last year; Now the duo has previewed the “Special Collection” with their new single, “Back in Office.” stream below.
Last spring, Saba told Apple Music 1’s Ebro Darden that No ID sent him 120 beats with the goal of completing at least 10 songs for their joint project. If “Back in Office” is any indication, both artists are in top shape.
Seemingly dumped by J. Cole “Back in 2009,” Saba spouts endless lines like, “My city is like Gotham, but no, I’m not Ben Affleck/ Turn your head to a part, yeah, they’ll take half of that/ Me I’m not a hunter, but I grew up in this habitat / Life was an uphill battle, but for me it was more of an avalanche.”
