Get ready for Timothée Chalamet to give his best Bob Dylan crack, because director James Mangold confirmed to Collider that the actor will sing as himself in an upcoming biopic about the legendary singer-songwriter.
Mangold spoke to Collider at Star Wars Celebration Europe in London, where he also shared the untitled biopic that will likely begin shooting “in August of this year.” The film is about “a young 19-year-old Bob Dylan comes to New York with two dollars in his pocket to become a worldwide sensation in three years’ time.” Additionally, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seger, and Joan Baez all “play a role” in the movie.

Mangold is nearing completion Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, but he has plenty of other projects in the pipeline. It’s not just the new director star Wars movie, but it will also be DC commentary swamp thing film.

Meanwhile, Chalamet was recently featured in Bones and everything last year. He has two films in post-production: Dune: Part Two And Wonka. The first will hit theaters on November 3, and the second will arrive on December 15.
