Tanya Tucker started releasing new music for the first time in years in 2019, and she’s not slowing down anytime soon. The country legend and new member of the Country Music Hall of Fame has put out another LP called Sweet Western Sound It is set to be released on June 2nd via Fantasy Records. In conjunction with today’s announcement, she shared the song “Kindness.”
Tucker’s new album reunites her with Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings, the writers and producers who persuaded her to retire for 2019. While I’m livin’. In a statement, the artist said that collaborating with modern country stars was like “magic”.
“Sweet western sound It’s another revelation and I’m excited to see what people think of our new endeavor,” Tucker said. “It’s always a business trip with Brandi and Shooter. I didn’t know if we’d ever work together again on a new album after that while i live‘!! But we did it! We did a lot of new things this time around and I co-wrote some of the songs, which means a lot to me. Brandy says we are Magic together, and I’m starting to believe her!!!! “

In addition to Carlisle and Jennings, Sweet western sound Featuring contributions from Bernie Tobin, Phil and Tim Hansroth, JT Nero, Billy Don Burns, and Craig Dillingham. The late Billy Joe Schaeffer also appears on the recording, thanks to the artist’s old recordings. Pre-orders for the LP are ongoing.
Single “Kindness” pairs a cinematic beat with acoustic guitar, but the track really focuses on Tucker’s classic sound when she recalls her written life with a sense of power.
