Peter Murphy returns David Bowie tribute tour due to medical procedure

The 2023 leg of the Celebrate David Bowie tour has been rescheduled after vocalist Peter Murphy underwent an “unexpected medical procedure”.

An announcement on Murphy’s Instagram confirmed that the Bauhaus manager’s unspecified recent action “prohibits his ability to travel as planned” but that he is “recovering well, will fully recover, and will be ready to tour the US with the group this fall.” The post also listed several “introductory” dates moved to October and November, while also stating that all tickets purchased for previously announced shows would be honored on their corresponding new date.

The revised tour now begins in Tacoma, Washington on October 10th and ends in Cincinnati on November 22nd. The updated itinerary also indicates the singer will be back stronger with more cities, including Chicago, added to the group’s tour stops. Check out the full live extension below.

Tickets for the new “Celebrating David Bowie” tour will go on sale Friday, April 14th via Ticketmaster.
