A partnership between the Kamloops Film Society and the Francophone Society de Kamloops will bring six French films to the Paramount Theater beginning April 13.
A French film festival is scheduled to take place at the Paramount Theatre, which is expected to start in mid-April.
The festival was called CinéLoops, with the opening event brought together by the Kamloops Film Society and the Francophone Association de Kamloops (AFK).
Six French films will be presented from April 13-15 at the Paramount Theatre, 503 Victoria Street.
Kamloops Film Society Executive Director Duosan Magdolin said the festival will build on the organization’s success by hosting its first Indigenous Film Festival last fall.
CinéLoops, the three-day festival of French cinema, will feature some of the best French films from around the world, backed by fun and entertaining events. “Francophones and English speakers won’t want to miss out,” said Magdolin.
Films will be shown with English subtitles.
Films include You Will Remember Me, Katak the Brave Beluga, Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Empire, Felix and the Morgäa Treasure (Felix and the Hidden Treasure), Une Belle Course (Driving Madeline), and Close.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $11 for seniors, and $7 for children/students. Festival tickets are also available. You can find them online at thekfs.ca.
