Alison Hammond will replace Matt Lucas as the new host of The Great British breadjoining Noel Fielding in presenting the long-running competition.
“So happy to welcome @alisonhammond55 to the tent,” Fielding wrote on Instagram. “I’m so excited, we’re working together. We’re going to spend all the time laughing like naughty school kids. The bakers are going to love you pretty much.”

Hammond confirmed the news with a post of her own on Instagram, where she talked about a cake that featured small figurines GBBO Team as if they were sports stars being interviewed after a big game. “I am so happy,” she said. “I’m meeting the bakers very soon.
