I love going to work. I love being with people every day and enjoying human company and friendship and all that stuff. And all of a sudden I’m denied that. And I thought, ‘What am I going to do?'”
“I never had any intention of writing a book. But as I went on and kept writing, I realized that it was kind of giving me a reason to live and that I would go to bed thinking, ‘I’ll write about that tomorrow…it’s going to amuse me.'” And so it was really a lifesaver, because I couldn’t get through without doing something, you know.”
