Tony Shalhoub will return as Detective Monk Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie, New original movie Ordered by the Peacock. The project comes from the original creative team for the USA series, including creator/executive producer/writer Andy Brickman, executive producer David Hoberman, and executive producer/director Randy Zisk.
According to the official log, the film sees Shalhoub’s Adrian Monk—a former San Francisco detective with obsessive-compulsive disorder—resuming work to solve “one final and deeply personal case involving his beloved daughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding.” In addition to the original Shalhoub monks Stars Traylor Howard, Jason Gray Stanford, Melora Hardin, and Hector Elizondo will return for the film.
